With Kate`s Video Toolkit 2.49 you can easily convert, cut, join, mix, apply effects and play all your audio and video files. It is a software for a person with serious interests in mixing media as well as for a person looking for some plain fun.

Pros: Kate`s Video Toolkit 2.49 is an all-in-one solution for all your audio and video needs. With this you can convert and change audios/videos from one format to other, cut and extract a part of the audio/video file and save it in the same or a different format, join multiple audios/videos of same or different format and save it as a single audio/video file. You can also mix multiple audio and video into one file, apply various different transitions on an existing video as well as play all the audio/video formats supported by windows media player, quick time player and DVD players. It has a simple and easy to use self explanatory interface.

It supports a wide variety of formats such as AVI, WMV, MOV, DIVX, ASF, 3GP, MP4, MPEG1, MPEG2, VCD-PAL, VCD-NTSC, SVCD-PAL, SVCD-NTSC, DVD-PAL, DVD-NTSC and other formats. One can experiment with different combinations of over 70, 3D transitions and over 50 marvelous effects to be used. One of the most helpful features of this software is the built-in-player with the help of which you can view or listen to the file before saving the changes made by you. The player also allows you to set the start/end points of the portion you want to extract and convert. It changes the frame size, frame aspect ratio, video compression codec and audio compression codec.

I recently (and regretably) purchased a program from another company for this same purpose. It doesn`t convert any video. I tried it on 4 machines and it will not work. This one however, worked first time. And the options for watermarking and effects are great. The file was very small for the quality i chose to render and I am going to purchase this one as soon as I am done typing this. If you need to publish video to the web in streaming format, this is your tool.

I`ve tried so many different programs since beginning of era of video editing. Some programs worked good, some so-so. Most of them leaved me in frustration and disappointment, because they crash, record a movie partially and so on. Video Toolkit is the only program I enjoy to work with. I bought this software two years ago and still have it. For all this time Toolkit has not crashed even ones.

One of the ways I decide what to purchase with my limited $ is can I get close to achieving a video with something I already own. I find that there is nothing that does what this bundle does not do. And there is nothing that I`ve seen that is so elegantly simple. It seems to be pretty easy on my CPU as well.

After too many system crashes with other Video editors (especially after hours of rendering), I decided to upgrade to a better software. I`ve been using Kate`s Video Toolkit since last year and have rarely had the software crash on me.

If you`re looking for something in between Final Cut Pro and iMovie, this is probably the software for you. The interface is very simple, practically no learning curve. There`s a surprising amount of functionality. Ran beautifully on an old laptop with a 64 meg video card, 1 gig RAM and 1.7 gig processor, also runs on my newer XP machine. Not bloatware at all, which is appreciated, since I usually have at least 3 or 4 programs running at once.

It is a very simple, intuitive program with power of much more expensive professional software. You will enjoy to play (not just edit) with your video using almost endless options. I am not professional and I make movies only for myself and my family, but kates video toolkit can really help you to create a professionally looking video without any effort. I cannot recommend any better software than this.

easy to use. even the trial version version lets me play the video without any logo. works best with yah00, M$N, camfrog and paltalk, I don`t use any other messenger so you need to test it yourself. The best thing I like this one is that that it alows me that trial version shows logo after each minute and not all the time. The other software webcam I tried, they all show logo or their trade-mark right away.
